I have also had two fires, in different 68 Imperials, from a pin hole leak in a power steering hose that sprayed the fluid on the manifold. We tend not to think of these things as long as they work OK, but most of these hoses are old
and need replaced. NAPA has replacement hoses, about $29.00 each. In both cases, I was lucky, no damage as the fires were put out quickly.
