Happy New Year and Help!

Thanks Joe.  I have only had the car for about 2 months.  When I take it out and drive it, the stares, smiles, thumbs up and questions from strangers confirms that I do have a beautiful car.  You are right when you say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I fell in love the first time I saw her!

Hal,  keep one thing in mind, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you like
your car, that's all that should matter. I also own a 63 Crown Southampton.
After searching the country for an Imperial within my budget, I chose mine
because she was the best car for the money I spent, needing only paint, rear
springs rearched, and rear seat redone. She had 68k orig. miles, is loaded with
options, and the man insisted that the mostly complete 392 was part of the deal, all for the astronomical price of 2k.I actually drove the car from Ill. to
Philly.I love other models as well, the 62 for it's split grill, and the 57 for it's
styling and Hemi. Also I love the 65 for it's cross grill insert.Someone actually
wrote a while back that he owned a lowly 65. I feel that it is the best looking
example of the 64-66 design.Getting back to our 63's, it has many improvements over the 62. Better brakes, more head and leg room etc...This
was a major point in my decision because my son, 16 is already 6'3". I got tired
of hearing him complain about  the back seat of my Cordoba. He now has more
room than he could ever hope for.I love my 63,and I hope you learn to love
yours too.If not, send some pic.'s  and a price. Don't let the "more desired year
owners", put you down or make you feel left out of their click. Happy Holidays.
                                                                Sincerely,
                                                                                   Joe Caruso
