No gasket ring on Hemi plugs? was Re: IML: 58 Imperial info

This is interesting, though the factory may consider the Hemi spark plug tubes that the plugs go into as gasket enough at the bottom. I THINK I remember using the spark plug ring gaskets on my old 54 NYer with a 331 ages ago and having no problem with it, but it has been a long time ago. Is this a 58 only thing, or does this come up on other early Hemis?

Another question to ask the list is  I was reading my manual on 58 Chrysler and append to notice that when replacing spark plugs in the Hemi it says not to use a gasket on the spark plug.  Is this correct?  I have also listed my car on the registry and I noticed that there is 57 coupe in Australia somewhere.  If this person is on the list can you please contact me.
