I concur, my 82 EFI will not start without a little press on the
throttle pedal.
As for keeping it running after starting in the cold weather when
scraping ice/snow off the windshield i have a very nice yellow
house brick to rest on the throttle I'm pretty sure any colour
would work ;-) but yellow goes nice with the carpet.
