Putting out car fires



You had better replace every piece of rubber that comes in contact with
modern fuel with brand new fuel hose because the modern fuels are extremely
hard on old formula fuel hose.  That goes for any hose that has been in
place since about 1992.  This includes vacuum hoses.  You are extremely
lucky that they have not either crumbled or simply disolved.  Also you want
to replace old flex hoses in your brakes about every 5 years, too.
