90 Anti-lock Brakes

I used a MtiVac to bleed the brakes on my 90.  But unlike non-ABS, the ignition MUST BE off and the system pressure relieved.  With the car off, pump the brake pedal 40 or 50 times, then start the bleeding.

Subject: Re: IML: 90 Anti-lock Brakes

I  tried the procedure in the FSM for bleeding but ended up pressure bleeding the system to remove all the air and  the two lights coming on problem.  Another important procedure is when doing disc brakes on a vehicle with anti-lock . Always open the bleeder screw before collapsing the caliper piston back into the caliper. This prevents any crud from going back into the anti-lock unit where it can cause trouble.
