Subject: fasteners

Hello club-

I am going to attempt some body work on my '55 Imp. The right dog leg is rusted through behind the rocker panel molding. I need to remove the molding to repair the damage. Does it pop off?? Are replacement clips to re-fasten it available? Some of the existing clips have rusted out and released their grip on the molding. Are these clips fastened with nuts or some type of press-on  clip? I hate to start prying on the long strip of molding without knowing the correct procedure  for removal.

I would appreciate any help from someone who has done this, or knows how it is done. I also need to remove the long stainless strip between the rear bumper and the trunk lid as it has some dings in it. The clips seem to be rusted also, at least what I can see of them. Do I pry this off? What kind of tool is best??

                                                                                                               Thanks fellows
