My apologies to any members who feel this
topic isn't Imperial related (enough). To reply to a
member who recently asked about other t.v shows that featured Imperials,
I recall an episode of The Andy Griffith Show
that featured an Imperial (believe there were two - haven't seen the
episode in a while). It seems some Russian Intelligence officials
were looking for a quiet place to have a "summit meeting" and Barney suggested
to his boss at the FBI in Raleigh that the meeting be held in Mayberry. Lo
and behold, they drive up to Sheriff Andy Taylor's house in black '64
Imperials. They might possibly have been LeBarons or Crown four
doors, but they really looked impressive and VERY OFFICIAL! Just
wondering if anyone else on the list remembers that episode? I thought it
odd that Lincolns weren't used since Ford Motor Company sponsored the
show.
