Federal Funding of State Scrappage Programs are Back!!



Bill;
 It's just the usual suspects working with the same playbook that they have
had for thirty years. With the current expenses from the war on terror, and
the large deficits posted, I seriously doubt whether such funding will ever
see the light of day.
 One of the things that all of these program proposals usually have in
common is that the cars have to be running before they will pay out. As the
piece also points out the money they offer for a working car isn't anywhere
near enough to replace it. Fortunately in Canada, government is usually too
cheap, and has too many other fish to fry, to consider such a thing.
Unfortunately for our Imperials there is enough of a payoff, monetarily,
from derbying them, but at the same time they are having a harder time
finding $100 beaters to do it with.
