Greetings Dennis, et al, I loaned my repair manual to Mark Evans who did a superb job of copying it and posting it on the web site so you can tap into it in addition to the many great minds in the group. Although I own the same year car I am not very mechanically inclined so have no advice other than to point out that the repair manual can be accessed. I can copy it to CD if you like, contact me off list if desired. good luck and enjoy. the good news-I showed my car to my son who just finished his training as a Mercedes Benz mechanic and he like the car a lot, so maybe together we can get a lot accomplished. Imperially, Many thanks to Mark Evans for his generosity of time and talent, I believe that he has copied several manuals to the site. jerry53 ----- Original Message ----- From: <Captden30@xxxxxxx> To: <mailing-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, June 01, 2003 10:22 AM Subject: IML: 1953 imperial > this 53 imperial i own has one of the first automatic transmissions chrysler > put in their cars. i got a 53 owners manual but i guess it is for one of the > earlier production models because it only talks about the fluid drive. i need > to know what type of trans fluid it should use? also, can synthetic oil be used > in the hemi engine? what type of power steering fluid, the same as the > trans.? i am having the power brake booster rebuilt and if anyone knows the proper > way to bleed it and the rest of the system when it is re-installed i would > appreciate that info. thanks dennis > >
