     This isn't precisely responsive as mine is a '65, but
when I bought it in '99, it was already equipped with towing
equipment:  Class II hitch welded to frame and notched into
the bottom of the bumper for road clearance; air shocks; an
older electro-mechanical trailer brake controller mounted
under the steering column; electrical plug in mounted in the
bumper.  I haven't tried these things myself, but apparently
the car was used for some pretty heavy towing at some point.
