Dear Miss Blueberry

Bill,

You demonstrate that you are a gentleman, and that means that surely you meant no offense.  I don't think you fully understood the depths of my current caretakers madness.  I'm not sure I do myself.  I thought I was quite past being able to turn heads and was quite resigned to my fate as an overlooked part of the museum.  Imagine my surprise to be the car that has probably had more done to it and traveled to more places than all of the other vehicles put together.

The museum does have another Imperial, a 73.  I shudder at the thought of it, though I shall be the beneficiary of its sacrifice, but it is to be disposed of.  They recently sold a 67 Cadillac convertible, and plan to sell a 1970 Lincoln coupe as well.  Apparently funds from these dispositions may be used to get me the surgery I need on my failing ticker.  So, soon enough, bearing in mind I have almost 45 years of perspective, I shall be out amongst the quick again.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs. Blueberry

Dear Miss Blueberry,

When I suggested that you become a parts car, I was only trying to help your owner get a nice Imperial without having to do all the work that you require, and have you be the one to help keep the other car running as it should so he could enjoy himself.  I guess I didn't realize just what an impression you have made on everyone you came into contact with, either through Hugh's writing or where you might have appeared in public.  I am not heartless when it comes to old cars, especially Imperials, as I have refurbished five, but unfortunately, I had to use parts from four other cars to do so.  I doubt very much that there is anyone on this list who has not used parts from a doner car, in fact they advertise for these parts all the time, as well they should.  I wish you the best, may you find the fountain of youth, so that you can continue to excite and please people for many years to come.

Bill/Imp, just a few 68's
