A/C cut-out

Some time back, there was device marketed for A/C cut-out. It was vacumn swtch that would be in line with the activate wire for the compressor. When you accelerated, the engine vacumn would drop, which would allow the cut-out switch to temporarily disconnect the A/C compressor.
