Re:Value of a complete 1957 392 Hemi motor only

Several years ago I traded a set of 67 915 heads (which were given to me)
for a complete 392. I was told that it was a 58 motor, which I later
learned was correct by the #s on the block (345 horse motor out of an
Imperial). After teardown we found that bore size and all bearings were
standard and there was no need to overbore or turn the crank. It's since
been rebuilt and now sitting on the stand. So what's it worth - probably in
the neighborhood of $5-6000 now. I don't know what it will go in yet -
several people on my lists have suggested it go in either my 65 Coronet
convertible or an early A108 van I've got (that would be a waste). Maybe a
transplant into my 81 Imperial?.
