tach&dwell meter



If you have one for 12 volts, try it, you might be surprised to find that it
will work just fine on 6 volts, but if your car is positive ground, remember
to reverse the clip leads so that the red one is on the positive (ground)
side and the black one is on the points, and then be certain not to
inadvertently let the any metal on the meter touch the car's body.  I have a
plastic cased one which works just fine on either voltage.
