Chrome experts speak up

bom tie;
 I have read that a brass or a bronze would be the best to would with as
they are easy to polish, plate, and won't corrode. Aluminum is a lot
trickier to chrome, I read about a fellow restoring a Facel Vega and he had
one devil of a time finding a shop that would chrome the grille in his car.
I have never heard of anyone casting straight copper, my guess is that it
doesn't flow into a mould too well by itself.
