I owe the 80's Imperial people an apology.
I re-read my post and it didn't exactly
convey what I meant. Heck , I liked the 81 I looked at
. And I didn't even drive the car. It is just that the
dash and controls reminded me of a 80ish VCR I once owned. Weird in a
nice way.
Electronic technology of that era I
guess.

Most of the 80's Imperials that I have looked
at have been sort of run down, lacking any tender loving care, which is so
important to an older car. More than likely most of them have had
several owners, and suffered because of it. A bit over two years ago, a
small car show was held in central Indiana, and one of these coupes showed
up. This car looked showroom new, and was a beauty to behold. It
was a regal looking car that deserved to be called an Imperial in every
respect.
