Today, since my daily driver had a flat and it was in general pretty decent weather-wise, i decided to take my '67 crown coupe to work. Despite using nearly 15 gallons of 93 octane in the 150 miles worth of driving I did today, it was great to drive the old cruiser, and fun to show her off to my co-workers. I played a trick on a co-worker, too. I was taking him out to show him the car, and told him it had a voice activated seek radio. He was like "no, you're pulling my leg, right?" Then I turned on the radio, pointed at it, and said "SEEK!" in an authoritarian tone. He literally jumped back a foot when the orange needle began moving and settled on a new station. "Whoa man, that's amazing...they had that in '67????" The best part was, after a few times, I came clean and showed him I was actually tapping the foot switch with my left toe. And he was still amazed! He thought I had installed that myself, but I reassured him (not easy, because he wasn't trusting me very much at this point!) it was a factory setup. Ah, the glorious '67! ===== --Mike Pittinaro One point eight litres Stromberg carburators sing Loose nut at the wheel __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
