Hi Larry,
I can share in your excitement at having your new Imperial at home finally. I was going through your list of things that worked, and things that did not, and saw that you mentioned the radio. I also thought the one in my '59 Imperial did not work for about six months, until one day I was showing it to someone, and I turned on the radio to show them it didn't work. Then I showed them the power antenna, which they had back then, and as the antenna went up my radio suddenly started working! It was a miracle, and even my classic car mechanic said it didn't work. Even though I am getting older, and like my parents who rarely turn on their car radio, I am becoming the same way. Any way it is nice to know that it is there and working if I want it. Point is, you might want to raise the antenna to see if the radio works.
