valley cover gaskets

The tin valley cover IS the gasket in this installation, though generally
use a film of Edelbrock gasgacinch ( when you can find it ) or number 2
permatex non hardening on the ends where it seals to the block, and around
the intake ports. Not caring a lot for RTV in this case, but to each their
own.

Additionally, Fel Pro sells a set of thin paper gaskets for use with
aluminum intakes for this same situation, but thats seldom an issue with our
installations. Be sure and use the metal plates that sandwich the ends of
the valley to the block and if you still have it, the blanket insulation
that went between the valley cover and the manifold. Its in the archives Im
sure, the insulations purpose was discussed to death several times over
before.
