Maybe. I don't think I ever had a car with a fixed fan. ;)  As Paul said, 
the car probably wouldn't need anything it didn't come with stock IF all 
items are working up to snuff, but I don't see where the additional 
efficiency from a clutch fan and fan shroud could hurt.
