There are a couple of errors, actually. The parking pawl was introduced on the 1960 Valiant's verison of the A-904 Torqueflite. Plymouth and Dodge Dart/Polara did not adopt the parking pawl A-904 until 1962. The aluminum A-727 was introduced for 1962, but only the Plymouth and Dodge Dart/Polara had the parking pawl. The Dodge Custom 880, Chrysler and Imperial did not get it until 1963. By the way, anytime you see a Torqueflite with the parking lever, the car has Bendix brakes and the emergency brakes on the rear wheels. No parking lever and the car has Lockheed brakes and the emergency brake on the driveshaft behind the transmision. The last year for the transmission pushbuttons was 1964 while the last year for a cable controlled gear selector was 1965. Bill Vancouver, BC ----- Original Message ----- From: "Klebert L.
