Hi David
Mount the engine directly to the stand.  DO NOT use the flexplate.  If
memory serves me I believe you use 3/8 coars thread bolts.  On my stands
they need to be about 3 to 3 1/2 in long to go thru the mounting ears on the
stand and far enough into the block to secure it.  Hope this helps.  Good
