Great stuff, Ernie.  What a good looking car.  Takes a lot of enthusiasm to 
achieve what you have done.  (I'm not sure "Ordinary Joe's do this kind of 
thing.  Don't they run Toyotas or something?  Seems to me you belong in the 
extraordinary category, at the very least.)  Your wife's comments remind me 
of something my own long suffering spouse would say when I would get a call. 
"He's not here right now.  He's probably under his girlfriend!"  It took 
Treece a long time to accept my unexpected attachment to this big old gas 
guzzler.  When she met me I had a Citroen 2CV and was somewhat anti-car, 
regarding them as nothing more than necessary evils and somewhat 
unecologically sound.  All I could say was, "Never underestimate the power 
of an Imperial.  It had to be something as amazing and wonderful as an 
Imperial to get me off my high horse.  I now can make a fairly cohesive 
argument in favor of running old cars from an environmentalist perspective, 
predicated on the fact that reuse is better than recycling, but it is really 
just rationalization of an overwhelming attraction to these big old bombs we 
like so much around here.  My wife has come around to somewhat more than 
accepting the car.  She gets quite a buzz when we drive it on the freeway 
and everyone is waving and giving us big thumbs up signs.
