The ignition key will fit the doors and ignition, not the trunk. Normally I would suggest taking the door panel off and remove the lock from the door, but given the fancy door panels on a 1962 Imperial with power windows and door locks the ignition switch may be easier. It is mounted in the dash which is nowhere near the problem to remove as the later steering column units. To get into the trunk remove the back seat. If it has no rear heater or A/C you should be able to crawl through and remove the three bolts holding the lock mechanism in place. The lock cylinder is held in place with a U-shaped clip but that is not something you want to try if you are stuffed into the trunk, no matter how large the Imperial's may be. Wait until you get the lid open. On smaller cars such as Valiants or Studebakers it is possible to remove the bolts using a socket wrench and a couple of long extensions. But again that big Imperial trunk makes that a little more difficult. The trunk key also fits the glove box. So you might try taking that lock (or lid) into a locksmith.
