Hello. I think this is suitable for all mailboxes...
I too used to think "headlight doors" were the flip-up vacuum
actuated kind. After reading articles and purchasing parts for my 59
Plymouth, I came to realise that, for MY car anyway, most people are
referring to the sheetmetal "buckets" which hold the headlight bulbs to
the fenders. These buckets (doors) are screwed to the front fenders.
Next, zinc-plated concave dishes are screwed to the doors. Then the
sealed beam bulbs are set into these dishes and held there by the stainless
trim rings.
I will direct the windshield rubber reply dirctly to the individual who
asked the initial question. Thanks!

Headlight bezels are the trim rings (or trim) that go around
non-hideaway headlights. Headlight doors are associated with
hideaway headlights.

What are headlight doors? I thought that they were the flip up things over
the headlights that you see like on a late 80's chrysler new yorker. I
think
i'm wrong though because i don't think any foward looks had those flip up
things. Am i really that dumb?
