Well, I just went tearing thru all my boxes in the attic and found the
interchange manuals. The answer to my question is the pump is the same on
55
56 chrylser desoto plymout and dodge. The box os only 55 56 dodge plymouth.
For the ones thinking about the disc brake conversion, I looked up the
interchange on spindles
If you have a 55 with 10 in drums up to serial # 13842484 the spindles
interchange with dodge 49-54 pass with 10 inch drums and Plymoouth 49 - 54
If you have a 56 with 10 in brakes, they interchange with plymouth 55-56
after the serial number and la and evansville plant.
if you have a 56 with 11in brakes, they interchange with dodge 55 56 except
d-500 and plymouth 55-56
Who was the company making the disc brakes for the 53-54 cars ?
I'd be real curious to know what the difference is between these knuckles
and why the kit would'nt work on a 55-56. although, if the kit bolts to the
54 spindle, it should work on the early 55-56 spindles, I think
