Hey guys. A new Canadian (ok, the ONLY Canadian) car magazine premiered in
September). Called "Canadian Classics", the magazine profiles all makes and
models, and also features many Canadian built classics. If you subscribe
now, you get the September (first) issue. I just recieved mine. For a
lower-than-Hot-Rod budget mag, it is pretty good. The first issue features a
clean 58 Belvedere Convertible with a 260Hp 318 backed by a 3 speed column
shift (!). Other cars include a rare 1 of 30 68 Pontiac Grand Parisienne
powered by an L36 427 (all Canadian Pontiacs of the era had Chevy
Drivetrains), as well as a Canadian sold Hemi Cuda (one of eleven sold
here). You can bet you'll see many a Plodge as well as other Canadian Mopar
oddities. The last Canadian car mag (Northern Wheels) failed about 12 years
ago. It would be nice to see this one survive and I am sure many U.S and
overseas folks would get a kick out of reading it.
They are offering a special introductory subscription price of
$29.70(Canadian funds, thats about $19 bucks U.S) for 12 issues. Full cover
(both issues I have also have reprints of old car original ads-a nice touch)
The phone number is toll free (should work in the U.S) 877-859-1539.
If it doesn't work, call (902)859-3869.
