I have gone a little different direction and put a later engine against an
older tranny but it brought up a little problem that some of you may face
as you do yours, the dimple (what ever you want to call it) on the face of
the torque converter is differnt size on some of the engines. If you use
the wrong one the converter can either not pull down onto the flex plate
or can vibrate in the end of the crank.
I had no idea there was any differnce at all till the tranny shop took
my money to fix the fouled up parts.
