When I bought a super-hard-to-get NOS '56 Plymouth two door rear quarter
stainless, the seller shipped it in PVC PIPE. Not Schedule 40 but the water
line stuff. Came thru in great shape.

Subject: [FWDLK] JC Whitney Shipping Problems
All -
I purchased window sweeper from the JC Whitney catalog recently. The stuff
is correct and the price is right. They send out six foot sections in long
mailing tubes. I bought four pieces on four occasions within the last
three
months. The last three that arrived had the tubes smashed and bent in
half.
This was no 'accidently fell off the truck' event. These were vandalized,
as
if someone had smashed them against a concrete pillar until they broke.
JCW
was sympathetic and offered to replace no charge. I was wondering if
anyone
else has had similar experiences with shipments from them, long tubes or
otherwise.
