[FWDLK] Removing Undercoating

Hey Gang -

My 59 Dodge's inner fenders have factory undercoating that I'd like to 
remove. Using a torch is definitely out. Sandblasting may remove some, but 
I'd like to chemically remove all of it. Does anyone have a method that will 
disolve or at least soften the undercoating to the point that it'll come off 
easily with a putty knife ?
