BUT, but, EVERYBODY knows that ONLY 383/413/426/440 engines
can ever make any POWER.
A 318?
Fuggedaboutit!

(BTW...and I know that you've already done this before, elsewhere) can you
post up the building specs on/for an about 300HP engine,
having a very-streetable 9.00-9.50 compression ratio and vintage-looking
carb(s); deuces/Carters????

Subject: 500+HP Polyhead engine!
Polyheads and Mopar faithful,
I have a Poly engine milestone and apex achievement to pass
along to you and all our Mopar faithful on the 62-65 Mail List, 318 Poly
Mail List, et al...
My friend Barrett Lash dyno’d his engine Friday, just break-in numbers
and
not tuned yet, with great success.
This has been an ongoing project that I have alluded to in the past and
finally has come to fruition.
369 cid Poly Stroker
3.79 Stroker Crankshaft
Hogan’s Tunnel Ram intake
1.7 to 1 rod stroke ratio - he believes that proper rod/stroke ratio
builds
the most HP - undoubtedly!
2.02/1.60” valves
T&D Roller Rockers
507HP @ 6000rpm/459 ft.lbs. torque @ 4900rpm
Avg. HP & Torque from 3600-6300rpm is 420HP & 446 Torque
Very impressive and the first documented Poly engine to make over
500HP and
KILLER Torque. Additionally, the motor was dyno'd at A.C. Nutter Racing
Engines in Vancouver, WA and their dyno is infamously noted to record
about
30HP less than other dynos! I am looking forward to the next dyno
session
and will video the pulls and update our Mopar Community when it happens.
