Hello Forward Lookers, I've only been on the FLML a short time, so maybe this subject has already been brought up...But when I saw the messages today about the Forward Look cars in the movie Touch of Evil, it reminded me of a few other films that contain a cast of Exner beauties. I would nominate the 1959 Jerry Lewis movie Visit To A Small Planet as the all-time Forward Look film. Chrysler must have supplied every car they used. Almost all are 1959s, and most are convertibles, with special emphasis on DeSoto. One memorable scene takes place at a drive-in movie. When it starts to rain, about five finned convertibles raise their tops in unison. It's not a very good movie, but the cars sure get you EXcited. I Married A Monster From Outer Space is wall to wall with 1957 and 1958 Chrysler products; I believe there's even an Imperial. The Doris Day thriller Julie shows just about the full range of 1956 models, except Imperial. And for fans of the early-1960s, there's Bachelor In Paradise starring Bob Hope and Lana Turner. Convertibles are heavily featured, including an ultra-rare 1961 Dodge Polara convertible. One of the neighbors in the planned southern California community where the movie is set drives a 300F coupe.
