Re: [FWDLK] Fords Vs Chevys Vs Chryslers

The original horsepower ratings for Chevrolet, Ford and Plymouth were as
follows :
Chevrolet : 3.75x3.00 265cid HP - 162@4400 Torque - 257@2200
Ford : 3.62x3.30 272cid 162@4400 258@2200
Plymouth : 3.56x3.25 260cid 167@4400 231@2400
The trick here is that the 260cid engine was listed as standard on V8
models, but so was the 241cid engine with 157@4400 HP and 217@2400 torque.
In the U.S. the Plymouth engines were listed with "or" between them, and not
"standard" and "optional".
