[FWDLK] Intro and disc brake questions

Hello everyone. I have subscribed for about a month to this list and figure its time to get active and introduce myself. Name is Phil Palance in Houston TX. current inventory contains: 55 C300 (2), 57 300C, 74 Datsun 260Z, 79 "warlock" w/440 and 96 Dodge V10 3/4 ton truck. My wife has a 78 Lil Red Truck, 80 Corvette and 96 Dodge 1/2 ton 360. I am winding down on a 1 year plus home remodel project that included an extra "work " garage for me. I am hoping that I can get started working on our old cars this summer. All of my old cars/trucks need work and $$. The 55 C300 "parts" car looks like a grenade hit it from the cowl back. Front clip is good though. The other C300 is a real nice car needing new paint. The 57 is a real project. The lil red needs a general resto but is rust free and runs real well. The 79 truck is probably my 1st project to start working on since I want to make that my driver and I don't care much what it looks like right now.
I am interested in the conversation on disc brake conversions. There are several holes in the emails on this list and I would guess that there have been private postings. Could someone fill me /and/or the list on 57 conversions. 55-56 conversions have been done but I don't have all of the info yet. I will post soon with whatever info I do have. I do know that the conversion was done using Corvette rotors. Having to work on my wife's Corvette, I am pretty knowledgable about sources for brake parts. Calipers, caliper brackets, bearings etc are unknown at this time. I do know that the car uses the original 55 only master cylinder which I find curious. The C300 was owned by David E Davis, a magazine publisher. Thanks in advance to anyone that can shed some light on these items.
