It's not necessarily the age, although the more 'mature' person 'is not so quick to say "it ain't so" or it does not exist. Here in Sierra Vista, Arizona and in Tucson NAPA, Pep Boys, Checker and Auto Zone are very helpful in working with us 'old car' people. NAPA here in Sierra Vista will cross reference a chrysler part # to their number etc. We also Have Big A and they are also on the ball. The ones that really give me fits many times are the Chrysler parts people. Sometimes I think they are Autozone rejects if there is such a thing. The Chrysler parts people don't want to bother if it's older than 2-3 years. There are a lot of good parts people, you just have to be lucky enough to find them and many of them have older cars themselves although they are mostly Chevys/GM and a few Fords. If you seek them out they are much more understanding and will go the extra mile as they understand your problem. Good luck..
