>Should the valve covers say "Golden Lion 361"? If so, is that decal available? > If not, what can one do? The previous post about Jim Osborne Restorations should answer this. >Should the hood latch and associated hardware be painted body color or left >natural? The hood latch should be natural metal color. Inner fenders, hinges, fire wall, under hood, core support should be body color. Power brake vacuum tank is gloss black. >Was the original air filter housing color black, such as Eastwood's Under Hood >Black? Air cleaner is gloss black. A good quality gloss black spray can should be just fine. >And a question about the interior. Our dash pad is badly warped above the >instrument cluster and cracked near the mirror. I'm getting another one that >has minor cracks near the mirror hole. Should I just fix the cracks using the >vinyl repair kit and then paint it with vinyl paint, or spend the big bucks to >have a dash resotation specialist redo it for $500? I'd repair as best as I can. Then after your done with everything, if the dash still haunts you AND you still have $500 left over, add the repro dash like "Icing on the cake." > >Oh, almost forgot - what is the best way of reproducing an original trunk mat? Trunk mats are extremely difficult to find and are not reproduced to my knowledge. You may consider installing a "deluxe" trunk dress-up kit. This would be grey loop carpet and grey cardboard inserts. Both are reproduced by Gary Goers in Kalispell, Montana. His contact info is on the Imperialclub.com web site.
