alot of times recapped tires are corrected this way, by shaving, this drastically throws off the balance so they add sections of material inside the tire to compensate for weight loss,, i had a recap wide white radial come aprt on me because of this tecnnology, rendering the left front clip damaged on a 63 dodge.. dont let this condemn radials, just recaps! jim |
