Hi Mike, et al,

I assure you that both torsion bars were painted glossy black
when your '57 Fireflite and all other '57 DeSotos left the
factory.  How one became light green is beyond me.  I would be
concerned that the one was replaced and you may have a mismatch.
It is not that difficult (if the car is not rusty) to remove
both and read the ends of them to see if they are still a
matching pair as far as the ride qualities they will give.
