Hi David If all other fails I might suggest making you a heat shield and put it between the idler arm and exhaust. I put headers on my 57 Plymouth and made me a shield out of stainless steal and put it between exhaust and starter motor. I got the idea from an Oldsmobile Diesel that I used to own that had this factory setup. |
