We here in the midwest don't get either, we just freeze our wingnuts off for 6 months for our pennance. I hope everyone makes it safely through this one! How deep does the snow get? Some people put little orange balls on their antenae to find their cars? When they disappear you really don't care where your car is, just when will it stop snowing! In central Wisconsin it can be a long, long winter, but nothing as devastating as hurricanes and earthquakes.
