-----Original Message----- ....I won't tell a Hudson owner his car is a Mopar, but I feel he has every right to enter his Hudson at any Mopar themed car show and be given the respect he deserves. ... I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. If my mother died and my father married a 19 year old babe, would that make her my mother? It would be historically most accurate if each marque was recognized for its complete and proud independent history at the time that particular car was produced. A 1909, 1930 or 1953 Hudson [which were on the earlier museum list] were Hudsons, not AMC, not Chrysler, just plain Hudson. Corporate buyouts are just that, not a justification for revisionist history. --Roger van Hoy, '55DeSoto, '42DeSoto, '66Plymouth, '73Duster, Washougal, WA |
