[FWDLK] Polarizing Generators

Hi All -

Earlier this week there was a post concerning polarizing generators.  I
wasn't aware of this.  When is this necessary ?  What happens if you don't
do it ?  What is involved ?

I put new brushes in my 58 Ply generator, but it hasn't been installed on
the car yet.  Do I have to polarize it first ?
