[FWDLK] Glory Days - Black Fury

Today I found a very interesting book while cruising thru Barnes & Noble.  It's titled "Glory Days - When horsepower and passion ruled Detroit", a memoir by Jim Wangers.  The book is about his career as a marketer and ad campaigner for cars, most of which deals with Pontiac, especially the GTO, in the 1960s.  However, he says he worked as head of the marketing department after the "Suddenly it's 1960" ad campaign started.  Here is a quote from the book, talking about the 1958 Plymouth:

"In 1958 Plymouth received the 350 cubic inch engine, which made a good car even better.  Until then all Furys were painted eggshell white with a gold anodized stripe down the side.  I had a special car painted black withe the same anodized gold trim.  It was sensational!  I called it the Black Fury, and had a special fender badge cast in gold featuring that name."

He says nothing about the "so-called" Ricky Nelson car, and nothing about what happened to this car, but I sure wonder what happened to it, and would sure love to see even just a picture of the "special fender badge cast in gold". . .

Anybody heard of this guy before???
