Speaking of '59 DeSotos, I finally found an owner's manual for my '59 Fireflite. It isn't in the greatest shape, but neither is my car. I found it at the Detroit Autorama this past weekend. No Forewardlook cars showed up, but it didn't surprise me. The dealer that I bought the manual from had a good selection of stuff from the '55-'61 Mopar era (but not the '59 DeS supplimental shop manual). His name is Bruce Roth ph# (219)744-1154 rothauto@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Since I've been spending time in the Detroit area, I stopped by the WPC Museum to take a look around. It's a nice place and I had a great time. It really is worth a visit. To answer the question about the starter solenoid for the '59 DeSoto w/383...I got mine from Tilbert's Brake and Allignment in Escanaba, MI (my hometown) for about 70 bucks. Later I found them for sale in the Gary Goers catalog for cheaper than that. Eli Collins ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com |
