I used to sell brake lathes and shoe arcers to shops in California but the
arcers were either regulated out of existance or outlawed altogether because
of the asbestos dust danger, I'm not sure if the dust from organic linings
are hazardous but any shoe arcers I see in shops these days have the cords
cut off of them.
