As much as I'd like to debate the topic (and trust me, my passions are at the
breaking point right now), this list really isn't the place. Feel free to have
a political discussion at http://www.forwardlook.net/exhaustpipe though --
that's what that message board was created for.
As far as Al Gore goes, though... in his book "Earth in the Balance", he does
state that gasoline in the U.S. should be taxed until 'commensurate with
European prices' i.e. $4.00 plus per gallon. That -does- affect our vehicles,
and the collector car hobby as a whole. BUT, until the time where gas here
does reach such prices (under either Bush or Gore), we really need to keep
those discussions off the list.
Tempers, passions, and opinions are at a record high in this country, and I
really hope this list doesn't explode because of it.
