Hello all ! My thoughts on the cloning matter are totally clear,,,,, I don't see a problem with taking a rusted out convertible or any other car and turning her into a head turner with a whole lot of parts from other cars to do it . As a few of us are doing at the moment ! in a since it is "original"... all the parts are from the same auto manufacturing company and are for that application. as far as advertising it "as original" ,,, that's questionable !!!! but also take in consideration all the other cars of value out there that are one of a kind......and they have been restored and called original !!!! Where did they get the parts to do so ? We all have watched to car shows and hop up programs on tv and seen all kinds of nice looking cars on there that the owner says that his car is totally "original" ...but he pops his hood and there sits a small block chev in a ford! or the guys that have one of them fiberglass coupes and they're saying it "original" So where is the line drawn? I say ... If the Vin numbers match up! and all the parts belong there and there isn't any foreign stuff on it , and an old lady has had it in her barn for the last 40 years or so, with less than a hundred thousand miles on it " Its Original" !!!!!!!! just my two cents Mark & Don (He's still in S.C.) 55 Plymouths for yard art! |
