There was an article on Richard Carpenter's automobile collection a few years
ago in Car Collector magazine - he has a staff to restore and maintain
vehicles. I would suspect the 'Original Owner' claim for the 1959 - even if
he was only 16 when he bought it, that would make him 57 now - and I don't
think he is quite that old.
