Nope, won't work. The vibrator transformer has a different turns ratio to achieve the same B+ plate voltage from the battery input voltage. So to convert a 6-volt radio to 12-volt, you must replace the vibrator, vibrator output transformer, and all the tubes. (Learned this the hard way.)
